Over the last few years there have been massive advances in mobile phone technology. First we had colour screens then mobile phone cameras or camera phones, then camera phones with flashes. The list goes on and on.
We now live in a time where it is usual for mobile phones to have fully featured web browsers, gps systems, video players, music players and many more features as well. All of these extra systems of course use extra power and although battery technology has advanced too we are now at a stage where most of us find ourselves needing to charge our phone more and more often.
Below are some tips from which will both prolong the life of your mobile phone battery between charges and also prolong the life of the battery itself.
Turn the screen brightness on your mobile phone to the lowest setting. Most peoples phones are set to the brightest setting by default and this is one of the biggest unnecessary drains on the battery.
Switch off the vibrate mode. The vibrator in your phone is powered by a little electric motor which drains the juice from your mobile phone battery quicker than you realise.
If at all possible avoid using the extra functions. For example the GPS function on the modern phone is a massive drain on battery life as is the camera flash.
